2018 Spring Catalog – New Color Street Nail Strips

Color Street officially launched the 2018 Spring Catalog today! I am excited to share these designs, as they are all Spring and Summer focused! Keep reading to find out what type of nail sets are in this catalog! Did you catch my sneak peak of the Spring Catalog? If not, check it out here first.

The Color Street 2018 Spring Catalog

nail art designs mermaid scale, glitter, geometric, polka dots

Purple & Lilac!

Many of my customers have asked for more purple nails. Color Street did not disappoint with the purple nails in the 2018 Spring Catalog! There are a two solid purples with this launch including Windy City, a light lilac, and Saigon Queen, a royal purple.

A New Sports Design

Are you a big sports fan? Or do you have kids that play sports? If you have a volleyball player in your life, you’re in luck. This launch brings a new sport to the nail designs, Sweet Serve. I personally love this volleyball design because it has pops of pink. Also, the new volleyball nail art design is a mixed mani, as you can see in the picture below. I love a mixed mani because it adds a bit of personality.

Glitters, Sparkles, & Glimmers! Oh My!

New sparkles and glitters anyone? The 2018 Spring Catalog brings a variety of new glitters and nail art design glitters. My favorite glitter is Blue Lagoon because of the mix of green and blue glitters, giving a teal look. Another favorite of mine is Capitol Hill. The Capitol Hill glitter nail is a grey background with large rose gold chunky glitter.

The 2018 Spring Catalog is for Florals

Maybe you’re more of a floral person. Color Street launched some amazing new floral designs for this catalog! One of the new designs is a rose gold and purple floral called Andalusia. This nail design is a mixed mani as well and has a shimmer finish. Another floral mixed mani is Early Blooms. Early Blooms also has a shimmer finish with shades of pink, blue, and green over a pink background.

All About Those Geometrics

If you’re into geometric shapes and prints, then you’re going to love the 2018 Spring Catalog. You will find polka dots, triangles, a chevron mixed mani and more in this Color Street launch. One of my favorites is Wisteria Lane, a black polka dot with a red glitter background. Wynwood, another favorite of mine, with geometric triangles in shades of grey and a light pearl glitter.

Make a Splash!

However, my absolute favorite design from the Color Street 2018 Spring Catalog is Atlantis!! This nail art design is a scale design, which to me is a mermaid scale. If you’re not into mermaids, just pretend it’s a dragon scale. The scale design of Atlantis features blue and purple glitter, perfect for any wannabe mermaid, or dragon.

Even More Nail Sets…

I’ll review more of the new nail strips from the 2018 Spring Catalog this week. If you want to see all of the designs, you can view them on my Color Street website. Of the new nail strips I reviewed, which one is your favorite?

Color Street’s Happy-Go-Lucky Collection

My personal favorite from Color Street’s Happy-Go-Lucky Collection is GALWAY GLIMMER! This strip is a Kelly green background with gold glitter and reminds me of the Irish version of LA Dreams. I’m obsessed and I will wear these ALL YEAR LONG!

If you know me a little bit at all, you know I love mermaids and unicorns! Which means I love rainbows, too. I can see myself rocking Irish Luck when I need a little magic in my day. I think these will be the ones I wear for St. Patrick’s Day in March.

Dublin Classic is just that, a classic deep green. These solid nail strips will be essential for not just spring and summer, but also for fall when the weather cools down and tartan pops up! I cannot wait to wear these mixed with some other the other nails for an accent nail. Gahhhh! So perfect for those who like to keep it simple.

And last, but certainly not least, is Celtic Tales! This Irish gold, black, and deep green will make any Celtic lover dance a little jig! Color Street’s Happy-Go-Lucky Collection knocks it out of the park with this one! The glimmer, the nail art, the details — yall, Celtic Tales is a bit of a gorgeous history lesson.

Kitnapping the Color Street Starter Kit

If you’re new to the direct sales world, you may not have heard the term kitnapping before. Kitnapping refers to people purchasing a starter kit because it is a better deal than just purchasing items. I’ll be the first to admit that I love a good starter kit and I do not mind kitnappers at all.

Kitnapping For The Win!

What kind of person would I be if I didn’t tell you about the best deal out there? Since we’re friends here, I want to tell you that the Color Street basic starter kit is a great kit to kitnap! Not everyone wants to start a business, some people just want a good discount. I don’t want anyone to miss out on a good deal!

kitnapping color street for the best deal! www.saunderssays.com

Let’s Do The Math

I went over the math in my Basic Starter Kit post, but I’ll remind you that this kit is well worth the money! For just $129 (approximately $150 with shipping and tax) you get a kit of $250+ value! Everything to kick off a business is in this kit. But, since your kitnapping, you want to know about the nail polish strips, right? I thought so!

Currently, the basic starter kit has 10 full sets of nail strips! Those 10 sets are made up of 1 French tip set, 2 solids, 2 glitters, and 5 nail art design sets. When you add up the cost of the nail polish strips alone, the total cost comes out to $125! Seriously, good deal right here! This is exactly why I encourage you to kitnap if you want the best deal!

In addition to the 10 full sets, you also get 72 twosie samples! You can get about four accent nails out of each twosie set. Let’s check the math on that: 72 sets times 4 nails equals 288(!!!!!) accent nails! Oh my word! That is a shit ton of accent nails, y’all!

Kitnapping Is Okay!

Regardless if you want to build a boss girl nail empire or kitnap for an amazing deal, make sure you have a sponsor who understands that. If you need a sponsor that isn’t going to judge you for being a kitnapper, you’re welcome to come over to my future stylist group or go ahead and sign up here to grab your Color Street starter kit!

If you have kitnapped before, what made you do it?

How to Apply Color Street Nail Polish Strips

So you finally decided to try those nail polish strips, but not sure how to apply Color Street? No need to worry, I’m here to help you with each step along the way to ensure you get amazing nails! Before you get started, make sure your nail polish strips are room temperature and not cold. The cold can impact the application process.

Steps to Apply Color Street Nail Polish Strips

The first step to apply Color Street nail polish strips is to wash your hands with warm water and then dry them off completely. Take a nail prep pad, alcohol wipe, or cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and wipe down your nail beds. This will ensure the oils produced by your nails are dried up to create a better adhesion. After your nails are wiped and dried, take a buffing block and lightly buff your nail beds. If you have thick ridges, you may want to buff a bit more.

Next, you’ll want to open the plastic packet that protects the nail polish strips. I suggest opening the packet as little as possible so that you can still get your nail polish strips out of the packet. This will make it easier when you go to reseal the packet afterwards. Once you have a set of strips out of the packet, you can start determining which size goes with which nail. I highly recommend starting with your pinky finger and working in towards your thumb. For some reason, this method makes it easier for me to apply Color Street nail polish strips.

Start With The Pinky

Start with the pinky finger and smallest strip from the packet to apply Color Street nail polish strips efficiently. First, rip the smallest strip from the set and peel off the protective clear layer on top of the nail polish strip. You can throw that piece away and begin to peel up the nail polish strip using the silver tab. The white piece that protects the base of the strip should be put to the side so you have something to rest your nail polish strip on should you be able to use both ends. Once you have the nail polish strip in your hands, pull the little silver tab off the end.

Now take the polish and place it on your pinky finger. If you are happy with the placement, you can begin pressing down the strip with your other fingers to help it set in place. However, if you are not happy with the placement, you can GENTLY take the strip up from the nail and try again.

Most of us do not have perfect nails, so here are a few tips to help apply Color Street nail polish strips to imperfect nails. Strip too skinny? You can use your finger pads to push the nail strip towards the side edges of your nail. Do this gently and slowly to maintain the integrity of the nail polish strip. Strip too wide? After you make the first press, gently and slowly pull the strip to make it longer. Be very careful with this step or you will rip your nail polish strip in half!

The Perfect Position

Now that your nail polish strip is on and in the perfect position, take some manicure scissors and cut the strip in half, as close to the nail end as possible. Take the leftover piece and place it on the shiny side of the original white backing for protection. This will help keep the piece sticky and you can use it on another nail. If you sit it on a counter or on something else, it may stick to it and ruin the nail polish strip. Once you are ready to move forward, grab your nail file. Using the nail file in a vertical position perpendicular to the nail, you will want to file in a downward motion. This is just to clean up the end of the nail and finish the seal of the nail polish strip.

3…2…1… Apply Color Street!

Testimonials

Nicole is an incredible designer.

Nicole is an incredible designer. When she asked if I needed items for my blog, I jumped on that. I CAN make graphics if I need to, but it’s not my gift. She and I had a design session where she caught the vision of what I was looking for, and created super easy to customize templates for me to use. I will be coming back to Nicole for SURE when I need a graphics refresh! She’s the BEST.

Imperfection as a Logo

I want to give a big shout out to Nicole. I contacted her to help me come up with a logo for myself. I had been struggling for some time to nail down exactly what I wanted. After talking with Nicole, sharing my likes/dislikes of all the things, we came up with a few things. She took my love for all things paisley, handmade and created a logo for me. Not only did she create the perfect logo, but she hand drew something knowing my love of imperfection and things that were handmade. I had different color options, as well. I’m so impressed and happy with my logo. Nicole is easy to work with and truly takes the time and effort into finding and creating something that is all you.
