New LuLaRoe Styles – Harvey
New LuLaRoe Styles – Jaxon
Okay, just kidding; you cannot actually request a LuLaRoe catalog! I know some of you are in shock right now and others are like “yeah, I already knew this fact.”
There are a few reasons that LuLaRoe does not produce a catalog. The main one being the prints and fabrics are constantly changing and the pieces are produced in limited quantities. LuLaRoe makes approximately 5,000 pieces in each print! That’s kind of insane considering how many pieces the mass box-stores make per item. If LuLaRoe had a catalog, once it made it to post-production, it would already be out-of-date. Many pieces produced by LuLaRoe become hard to find and that is why there are “unicorn” pieces. Those elusive pieces in the style and size of your choice are unicorns!
As a LuLaRoe retailer, I am actually happy that I do not have catalogs. I do not have to keep up with them, carry them around, pass them out, or purchase them. Yes, I said purchase. All your friends that have a home-based or direct sales business has to invest money for those catalogs. If you’re just going to throw it away, do not take a catalog!!! That is money out of their pocket and they could give it to someone who is actually interested in purchasing their products.

The personal styling session is a new feature I just started offering through my LuLaRoe business this past Spring. A personal styling session is a Facebook live video of me sharing a mini capsule collection I create for a specific person.
I only style two women per styling session because I want to commit my time and efforts to creating the perfect mini capsule collection for them. As you will notice, I prefer quality over quantity! (Spoken like a true sorority recruitment chairwoman!)
For each personal styling session, the client will complete a style inventory form. This form helps me understand their lifestyle, current wardrobe, body type, and likes/dislikes as well as any special requests.
When I start a pulling pieces for a personal styling session I will look to see what colors the person likes the most and select one to focus on or 2-3 to create a small complementary palette. Usually, I will find a piece that will be the cornerstone of the collection and I will then select pieces to build the capsule around that cornerstone piece. My most recent session featured a mint lace joy as the cornerstone piece and it literally went with every other piece in the capsule collection.
For these personal styling sessions, I am working to pull pieces that will create the perfect mini capsule collection for the client’s lifestyle. Utilizing the style inventory form, I typically pull 8-12 pieces of LuLaRoe. By keeping all the pieces in the same color scheme I am able to select pieces that work in many different ways, therefore allowing the customer to mix-and-match to create multiple outfits.
Layering pieces is an important part of the personal styling session since many women just don’t know how to wear LuLaRoe or all the fun things you can do with it! During the live feed, I will show the client exactly how the pieces go together and the multiple ways they can style it. I might have a Classic T knotted over an Amelia in one outfit and in the next outfit the same Classic T will be worn backwards and tucked into a Madison.
I love doing personal styling sessions because I get to help women show off their style and help them learn how to wear the pieces together. All my personal styling sessions are free and there is no obligation to purchase!! I even open styling sessions to current LuLaRoe consultants and those waiting in queue. This part of LuLaRoe is where I shine because I love being creative and building the 1-1 relationship with my clients! They open up to me about their lifestyle and insecurities and I get to help them feel beautiful and confident!
During the live video, the woman I am styling gets first dibs on any pieces from her mini capsule collection. When the session ends, she has up to 30 minutes to make any claims via messenger! Again, there is no obligation or pressure to purchase! I do love to get feedback to know if the session met their expectation and what they thought about the pieces I picked just for them.
After the 30 minutes are up, I do a lightning round recap! This live feed will quickly go over each piece and everyone in the group is eligible to shop. Typically, the live feed is open for shopping until lunch the next day.

I put way too much thought into becoming a LuLaRoe consultant. For an entire year before getting in the queue, I had purchased items and constantly saw the growth around the company and the women selling it. The hefty up-front onboarding costs and the actual work that goes into this business is what kept me from making the decision for a long time. I wanted to just go home from my “real” job and watch Netflix and play with my dogs, not take pictures of clothing and interact with people on social media. Finally, I decided to make the leap, because I literally had nothing to lose since LuLaRoe will purchase the product back and I spend way too much time on the internet anyway.
As I noticed women growing their businesses and enjoying the luxuries that come along with success (and hard work) I thought that just maybe, I could do that too. When I realized that I could become a work at home dog mom (WAHDM), I had to give it a shot. Again, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain!
During the time that I was debating becoming a LuLaRoe consultant, one of my consultant friends said, “you are going to spend the money anyway!” That was completely true! I do not even want to add up how much I spent on LuLaRoe prior to becoming a consultant. That number would not be pretty and I do not want to get judged. Ha!
At the end of November 2016 I received my onboarding call from the LuLaRoe home office, I completed my enrollment, and I have not looked back once. I thoroughly enjoy working my business with my husband, Travis, and chipping away at my new dream of being a WAHDM! I know I have quite a ways to go before I will bring in the same income as I currently make at my “real” job, but I WILL get there! I believe in myself and my business!
If you are a LuLaRoe consultant, why did you decide to do it? What keeps you here?
